Denver, Pennsylvania, September 14, 2017 – Morphy Auctions, the finest auction destination for fresh to the market collections, is pleased to announce this exciting jewelry sales event to be held on Saturday, October 7th 2017, starting at 11:00am EST.  All lots from this sale are currently on display and available for preview in Morphy’s Denver auction gallery.

It is the perfect time to check out this event’s top tier selection of world-class timepieces.  Fantastic examples from the most collectible brands are available for both women and men.

 

A trio of lady’s watch highlights are second to none.  The first is lot #32, a Patek Philippe 18k yellow gold watch featuring a diamond and sapphire set bezel and a diamond set bracelet, estimated at $21,000-26,000.  The second is lot #92, a Rolex 18K white gold Datejust Pearlmaster with a diamond bezel and mother of pearl dial, estimated at $20,000-25,000.  And three’s a charm with lot #60, an 18K white gold Pasha De Cartier with a stunning diamond bezel, estimated at $15,000-20,000.

 

Men’s fine timepiece selections are also up to the minute. Can’t miss showstoppers include lot #135, a handsome and classically styled Patek Philippe 18K rose gold Perpetual Retrograde watch, estimated at $35,000-45,000, and lot #136, an eye-catching Breitling 18K white gold Bentley GT model with a black diamond set face and white diamond set bracelet, estimated at $30,000-35,000.   For those who prefer more vintage options, lot #74, a 18K yellow gold Levy H. oversized enamel cased minute repeater pocket watch, is a timely choice.  This circa 1880-1900 timepiece, decorated with fine enameling, is in overall near mint condition and is estimated at $15,000-25,000.

 

What elite watch collector wouldn’t be attracted to lot #69, a c. 1958 Rolex stainless steel Milgauss chronometer, capable of working in magnetic fields up to 1000 gauss?  This once in a lifetime example features an incredible black revolving bezel calibrated for 60 units, an untouched red triangle indicator and mint condition bezel, rich and creamy hour markers, and a “tropical” colored dial.  This extraordinary timepiece, the top lot in this sale, is estimated at $280,000 – $320,000.

There’s no doubt that collectors will say “I do” to this auction’s selection of over 50 eye-catching rings.  If bling’s your thing, be sure to check out lot #257, a large 8.05 carat pear shaped diamond and platinum engagement ring.  Estimated at $90,000-120,000, this impressive piece is set with tapered baguette diamonds on both sides and is accompanied by two very recent certifications –  one from GIA and the other from EGL.  Lot #263, a 14K white gold and 3.02 carat diamond ring, is estimated at $30,000-50,000 and is simply breathtaking.  Its center stone is a square modified brilliant cut diamond, complemented by a diamond encrusted halo and shanks.  All together, this unworn ring has approximately 4.62 carats of diamonds.  And it’s always happy hour with lot #256, an 18k white gold, diamond, and blue sapphire cocktail ring, estimated at $35,000-45,000.  Its gorgeous center stone is a 9.48 carat blue oval sapphire which is framed by 10 round brilliant diamonds and six marquise shaped diamonds.

Jewelry enthusiasts on the hunt for outstanding necklaces need look no farther than this sales event.  Over 20 lots of fine “neckwear” are on offer, with selections including a full range of precious metal chains and chokers for men and women.  Lot #209, a 14K white gold and diamond necklace featuring 126 stones, is estimated at $12,000-20,000.  This 18.90 carat masterpiece measures about 16-3/4″ long; every diamond is set “tennis bracelet” style in its own moveable, three prong link.  And there’s no getting around the fact that lot #210, a yellow gold and 15.50 carat total diamond bezel set necklace, is simply amazing.  Estimated at $10,000-17,000, this treasure features 67 brilliant diamonds set into individual and movable links. This piece, which has a safety lock on the clasp and is stamped 14K with makers’ marks, is approximately 16-1/4″ long.

It’s hands in the air for this sale’s great offering of bracelets, with over 20 stunning selections on offer.   Collectors will find it hard to miss lot #303, an exquisitely hand crafted invisibly set sapphire and diamond bracelet. Estimated at $15,000-20,000, this phenomenally crafted white and yellow gold piece is comprised of channel set sapphire and diamond links totaling 57.8 dwt.  And worthy of the royal treatment is lot #304, an 18k white gold and diamond bracelet, estimated at $15,000-25,000.  This 16 link, 29.6 carat masterpiece is decorated with 543 round and princess cut diamonds.

 

Exciting selections of brooches, earrings, and other precious and decorative items – including loose stones and pendants – round out this can’t miss auction event.   A crown jewel of note here is lot #237, a GIA graded 2.23 carat diamond.  This emerald cut, D color and VVS2 clarity stone is estimated at $25,000-35,000.
