Operations Associate – Las Vegas

Our company is expanding once again and in need of a full time Operations Associate to add to our growing staff at our Las Vegas location. The candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including daily inventory management of items in preparation for a live auction and general customer service duties. Travel for shows, pick-ups, deliveries and sales meetings may be required.  Applicants must be detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy, able to work independently and work within an inventory database system. Occasional weekends will be required.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Support all auction preparation, including display setup, order pulling, shipping, etc.
  • Assist on consignor pickups and buyer deliveries, which may include scheduling, traveling, packing, loading, meeting with clients, obtaining documentation and following up with clients.
  • Assist at shows and sales meetings with potential buyers and consignors, including show set up, attendance and breakdown, and meeting and following up with clients.
  • Primary IT coordinator for the division – in conjunction with a remote IT leader, make all basic computer equipment, network, auction software, printing, other software, security system, telephone, and related repairs, replacements, and upgrades. Provide recommendations to IT leader.
  • Compose general descriptions for use in auction listings – develop and use skills in the research, description and valuation of antiques to support the catalog development process and related deadlines. This includes item identification, classification, and objective description that follows format guidelines.
  • Perform general customer service duties as needed, including greeting and communicating with customers, and resolving customer questions, requests and complaints through telephone, email, internet, and in-person communication, generally acting as a liaison between our customers and the company.
  • Support management in meeting sales goals through completion of all operations tasks by deadlines.
  • Coordinate updates to company-wide processes to ensure consistency between locations.
  • Assist during weekend auctions including online bidding platforms, clerking, check in/check out, handling consignments and other tasks.

Potential secondary responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily inventory activities and procedures. This includes filling out contracts, transcriptions, the storage and handling of consignments, entering and updating information into our database with a general knowledge of auction categories, tagging incoming consignments, and corresponding with consignors.
  • Monitor and organize equipment used in inventory process. This includes filing paperwork and organizing storage.
  • Update customer database and mailing lists.
  • Assist with placement of orders, refunds, or exchanges.
  • Various other customer service tasks, which include: Advise on company information, take payment information and other pertinent information such as addresses, messages, and phone numbers, register new customers and check out customers, and direct customers and consignors to the proper resources and people.

Skills/Requirements:

  • Focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Computer fluency (Microsoft Office, data entry, database, general operation).
  • Must be self-sufficient and have a thorough understanding of computers for all tasks including: trouble shooting, printer setup, software installation and a strong understanding of basic applications or the ability to learn and execute on short notice.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent grammar, spelling and vocabulary.
  • Ability to work with a variety of individuals from varying backgrounds and positions within and outside the company.
  • General knowledge of antiques a plus.
  • Positive attitude and ability to be personable with customers and employees.

Customer Experience Associate – Las Vegas

Our company is in need of a full time Customer Experience Associate to add to our staff at our Las Vegas, NV location. The candidate will be responsible for acting as a liaison between our customers and the company. We are looking for a person that can integrate skills in communication, computer applications, teamwork, and entrepreneurial continual improvement; internalize our customer experience standards (respect, quality, process, and show), and proactively seek to develop relationships with customers to create an atmosphere that delights customers worldwide!

Primary responsibilities:

  • Handle customer needs regarding bidding (registration in-person, absentee, on-line; payment, returns) and consignment processes (processing, follow-up, contract development) and all related support questions
  • Participate as an active team member in an array of different auctions
  • Travel to trade shows for various categories of antiques and collectibles while supporting the Sales team in developing relationships and contracts
  • Become an expert in the company ERP system, and contribute to its ongoing data analysis, improvement, and update documentation for consistent use throughout the company
  • Special projects in collection acquisition travel, VIP support, marketing communication, gallery coordination and display, etc.
