Operations Administrator

Primary responsibilities:

  • Pull customer orders from our display showcases, gallery display areas and stage orders in our shipping department. This includes firearms, advertising signs, toys, pottery & other antiques
  • Process packaged customer orders in our shipping department using our FedEx software
  • Process USPS and international orders
  • Work with our firearms team to process firearm shipments in accordance with state and federal law
  • Pack and process customer catalogs as needed
  • Support shipping department with any needed administrative tasks
  • Assist during auctions including online bidding platforms, clerking, handling consignments and other tasks

Potential secondary responsibilities:

  • Travel and labor for consignment pick ups
  • Inventory tagging for incoming collections
  • Support unpacking collections for expert evaluation

Skills/Requirements:

  • Positive attitude, pride in personal and work environment appearance
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Punctuality
  • Experience with order processing and shipping is a plus
  • Computer fluency (Excel, data entry, database, general operation)
  • Ability to quickly learn all internal software systems
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Trainability in handling antiques and firearms
  • Willingness to cross train in different departments as needed
  • Ability to work with a variety of individuals from varying backgrounds and positions within and outside the company
  • General knowledge of antiques is a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Lifting of items overhead
  • Move items using a dolly
  • Ability to work on a ladder
  • High school diploma required

Customer Service Associate

Morphy Auctions is seeking an outgoing and friendly personality to add to our ever-growing Customer Experience Team. This is a forward-facing customer service position requiring a friendly and personable disposition.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Provide a positive customer experience with every interaction.
  • Manage customer needs, including but not limited to, incoming calls, customer service inquiries by phone and face-to-face and all other related support questions.
  • Follow customer experience procedures, guidelines and policies.
  • Maintain and update customer account information.

Skills/Requirements:

  • Strong dedication to quality customer service.
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to make decisions and adapt quickly in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Can work independently as well as with a team.
  • Ability to communicate with many different levels of employees and clients.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • The ability to work within Office Suite and Outlook.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
