Civil War Highlights
At Auction February 26, 2010

An important collection of Political items has been added to this sale including a Civil War patriotic cast iron mirror of Gen. George McCellan who ran against Lincoln in the 1864 election. A Civil War flag and cannon embroided pillow top with it's original 1865 bill of sale is in outstanding condition. Other key items include a group of Teddy Roosevelt campaign pieces. A 39 star U.S. campaign flag for Benj. Harrison is sure to get the attention of collectors. One of the most important historical banners to ever come on the market is a full size Buffalo Bill hand painted cloth banner in a burley walnut frame. It's superb condition will excite Wild West collectors. Historical bandanas and broadsides that have not surfaced for decades will draw new interest. The Civil War collection includes a wide variety of GAR Ribbons, (lots 643 through 660) and a wonderful CDV collection (lots 662 through 727).
