An Impressive Collection of Firearms Await Bidders at Morphy’s Jan. 11 Auction

DENVER, Pa. – The January 11 Firearms sale includes 633 lots with over 450 firearms of all types; both antique and modern.  Items include: rifles, shotguns, revolvers and pistols. The bulk of the auction is from a private collection that was amassed over 35+ years of collecting.   Bidders will find some of the finest and rarest examples of colts.  Many items are accompanied by letters of authentication (Colt, S&W, Winchester).  With over 100 firearms made by Colt and more than 50 by S&W.   This auction includes a very nice, small collection of early Kentucky rifles and English cannon barrel pistols.  Also included: 30+ lots of antique ammunition, 50+ lots of bayonets, knives and swords, and 50+ lots of miscellaneous military items.

All items are currently on preview and can be looked at in a no pressure atmosphere daily from 9am – 4pm.  Extended preview will be open Friday Jan 10^th, until 6pm. Preview opens auction morning at 8 AM. Auction will begin promptly at 9AM starting with Lot #1. We will be selling roughly 80 lots per hour. Our modern weapons expert, Michael Vice, will be on location Friday morning through the end of the auction on Saturday. He will be available to discuss guns in person or over the phone as needed.
We are also currently taking items for our July 2014 gun auction.
