The Sept 14 auction has a great selection of fresh to the market antiques and collectibles.
The sale kicks off with a fantastic selection of over 125 Coca-Cola lots. Some of the highlights would include a 1908 Topless Serving Tray and an early Salesman Sample Cooler in original carrying case. There are also a number of very clean trays and signs that have come from a 30+ year collection.
Following the Coca-Cola lots are a few key Brewerianina items. The brewery items include a Geo. Ringler Bros Calendar from 1872, an Arthur Elsley Calendar from 1912 and a Yuengling Beer Tin Sign with a nice image of a horse.
The auction then covers a nice variety of advertising and general store items. These items would include display cases, coffee tins and trade cards. The toy selection starts off with a wonderful selection of tin and character toys. A few highlights would include a Frankenstein Battery-Operated Toy, a Marx Haunted House and an early Wooden Jointed Set of Comic Characters.
We then move into some pressed steel and cast iron, which would include a 40 year collection of Toy Stoves. Some of the key examples would include a Mt. Penn Royal Esther, a Kenton Star and a Hubley Eagle.
The sale concludes with an assortment of general antiques which would include a small Fishing Lure collection, a Sports collection and a Bakelite collection.
